Srinagar, Apr 07 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir government has informed that multiple Community Centres in Chanapora constituency have been completed in all respects, while finishing work is pending at the Auditorium-cum-Community Centre at Natipora.
In response to a question raised by MLA Mushtaq Ahmad Guroo, the Housing and Urban Development Department, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said the construction of Community Centres at Chanapora (Rs 1.08 crore), Khal Rambagh (Rs 1.70 crore), Baghat Barzulla (Rs 0.81 crore), and Ganbugh (Rs 2.00 crore) has been completed.
However, according to the government, the Auditorium-cum-Community Centre at Harinambal, Natipora (Rs 3.75 crore), is still under development. The building structure, roofing, internal plastering, door/window fittings, water pipe laying, and washroom tiling have been completed, but final finishing work is still pending.
The department also shared details of revenue and expenditure on the renovation of these centres over the last two years. Community Centre Chanapora saw an expenditure of Rs 5.50 lakh, while Khal Rambagh, Baghat Barzulla, and Ganbugh centres saw spending of Rs 9.925 lakh, Rs 14.075 lakh, and Rs 2.225 lakh, respectively. However, only the Ganbugh centre generated revenue, amounting to Rs 1.50 lakh.
